Deborah West - Principal

My name is Deborah West and this is my 6th year as the Principal of Grove Valley.  I have been in education for the past 30 years. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. I spent my first 18 years in education as an Early Childhood classroom teacher.  I worked in both Oklahoma City Public Schools and Putnam City Public Schools while I was teaching.  After completing my Masters in Educational Leadership at UCO, I was hired as an Intern at Grove Valley and spent the 2012-2013 school year here.  The next year I went to Coolidge Elementary for 2 years followed by 3 years at Rose Union Elementary, serving as the Assistant Principal in both of these schools. My husband and I have been married for 31 years.  We have two daughters that are the center of my world.  My oldest daughter is a Speech Pathologist for Putnam City Schools. My youngest daughter works for OSU and is finishing up her Masters Degree in Mass Communications.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, projecting, scrapbooking, movies and spending time with my family.  I am so happy to be at Grove Valley and look forward to another wonderful year in Deer Creek!





Victoria Vaughn - Assistant Principal

Greetings! My name is Victoria Vaughn. I am the Assistant Principal at Grove Valley. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma City University and have a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University. I was an elementary classroom teacher for five years. During that time I served on various committees at the school and district level. I am very passionate about the world of education. My mission as a school leader is to provide a safe and loving learning environment, where students feel celebrated, encouraged, and inspired. I believe every child can develop an endless desire to learn. In my spare time, I enjoy working out, cooking, and spending time with my family. I couldn't be more excited to be here at Grove Valley. It's going to be an amazing year!
