Walk-a-thon time:
We walk from 10:30-10:50 and have our cool down from 10:50-11:10.  Parents may attend.  There will be a specator section for you to sit in.  
Our school bookfair is fast approaching.  Please see below and consider helping Mrs. Holman with this.  It's really fun!

Help make our Fall Scholastic Book Fair a success!  We need volunteers to help assist students in choosing books, running the cash register, restocking and straightening shelves.  The book fair begins on October 11th and runs through October 17th.  We also have slots available for book fair set up and pack up! Thank  you for volunteering your time to help raise money for the Grove Valley Media Center!

Reading:  We will be reading the book "Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse."  The students will be identifying their feelings and expressing them through drawing.

We will also begin working on writing and reading our color words.  This is always such a fun unit.

Terrific Kid: Grayson will be recognized for the life principal of patience.  Way to go Grayson.

September 4-7

Important info:
There is no school on Monday.
Grandparent's Day is Friday.  Information will be coming home.  The Kindergarten time is 9:35-10:05.  This year, due to numbers, we will be hosting it in the gym.  
There will be no Terrific Kid due to Grandparent's day.

Walk a thon- information regarding the walk-a-thon is coming home.  This is one of our largest fund raisers.  Please read over the information carefully!  The kids absolutely love it!! The actual event will take place on September 28th so there is a lot of time to raise money.  There are prizes!!

HELP!! 
We are in need of 6 pairs of headphones.  We use them daily with our listening center and do not have one pair!!  If anyone would be willing to donate a pair or two we would greatly appreciate it!!


August 27-31
We have almost completed our first full week of school!  I has been a busy but fun one!!  Thank you again for everyone who donated to our project!!  I can't wait to get the chairs in!

We had a wonderful first few days of school!  I am so very impressed with how quickly they picked up on routines and procedures!  We will continue practicing them this week as well.   Below are the skills we will be working on this week:
